▷ inferred from circumstances; known indirectly.
法律の分野では、しばしば、”express”(明示の,明示的な)と対照的に使われる。

【用例】
▷ an implied agreement[consent]/contract →黙示的な合意: Implied consent, compared to express consent (where consent is directly and clearly given with explicit words), is the agreement given by a person’s action (even just a gesture) or inaction, or can be inferred from certain circumstances by any reasonable person.
