国際ビジネス、渉外法務に役立つ実務表現 grant (v) 【意味】 grant A B = grant B to A →AにBを(正式に・法的に)与える・許す・認める 【参考】 ▷ to give or to transfer something (especially formal or legal permission to do something) to someone, with or without payment. 【用例】 ▷ the rights expressly granted by the terms of the lease →リース契約の条件で明示的に付与された権利 ▷ A license to sell alcohol has been granted to the club. 酒を販売する免許がそのクラブに与えられている。 ▷ She was granted a divorce. →彼女は離婚が認められた。 ▷ Authors shall enjoy, in respect of works for which they are protected under this Convention, in countries of the Union other than the country of origin, the rights which their respective laws do now or may hereafter grant to their nationals, as well as the rights specially granted by this Convention. →著作者は、この条約のもとで保護される著作物に関し、本国以外の同盟国において、この条約が特に付与する権利のみならず、その国の法令が自国民に現在与えており又は将来与えることがある権利を享受する(ベルヌ条約5条1(1))。
