国際ビジネス、渉外法務に役立つ実務表現 action 【意味】 作為，行為，(法律的な)訴え，訴訟 【参考】 ▷ conduct; behavior; something done; a series of acts. ▷ a legal or judicial proceeding. ▷ 「不作為」は、”inaction”という。 【用例】 ▷ take action to stop the rise in violent crime →凶悪犯罪の増加を止めるために行動する(行動を起こす) ▷ take legal action for ~ against A = file[bring/raise] a civil action for ~ against A →～を求めてAを訴える ▷ An action shall be filed through the submission of a complaint to the court. →訴えの提起は、訴状を裁判所に提出してしなければならない(民訴法133条1項)。 ▷ She has decided to take legal action[file a civil action] for damages against the hospital. →彼女は病院を相手に損賠賠償の(民事)訴訟を起こすことに決めた。
