国際ビジネス、渉外法務に役立つ実務表現 trade name 【意味】 商号，屋号，商品名，ブランド名 【参考】 ▷ 法律の分野では「商号(屋号)」を意味することが多い。 ▷ a name of a business or one of its products which identifies the product as that of the business; a type of mark used to identify a company, partnership, or business rather than goods or services. 【用例】 ▷ A merchant (other than a company or foreign company; hereinafter the same applies in this Part) may use the merchant's surname, full name, or any other name as a trade name. →商人（会社及び外国会社を除く。以下この編において同じ。）は、その氏、氏名その他の名称をもってその商号とすることができる(商法11条1項)。 ▷ A merchant may register its trade name. →商人は、その商号の登記をすることができる(商法11条2項)。 ▷ The name of a Company shall be its trade name. →会社は、その名称を商号とする(会社法6条1項)。 ▷ No person may use, with wrongful purposes, any name or trade name which makes it likely that the person may be mistaken for other Company. 何人も、不正の目的をもって、他の会社であると誤認されるおそれのある名称又は商号を使用してはならない(会社法8条1項)。
