【意味】
(n) (財産・権利などの)移転, 譲渡, (株式などの)名義の書換え, 転勤,  転任
(v) ～(財産・権利など)を移転[譲渡]する, 転勤[転任]する, ～を転勤[転任]させる
+ transferee →譲受人<a person to whom a transfer is made.>

【参考】
▷ 名詞と動詞の用法があります。名詞としては、「(財産・権利などの)移転」「譲渡」<the passing of a thing or (title to) property from one person to another; alienation; conveyance.>を意味します。「(株式などの)名義の書換え」<a conveyance of property, especially stocks and shares, from one person to another.>という含みでも使われます。一方、動詞としては、「～（財産・権利など）を移転[譲渡]する】<to hand over the possession of property, a right, etc. to another.>という意味で使われます。さらに、日常ビジネスの分野では、「転勤」「転任」<an act of moving someone to another place, department, etc. within the same organization.>，「転勤[転任]する」「～を転勤[転任]させる」という意味でも使われます。

▷ I’d like you to transfer $5,000 to this bank account. →この口座に５０００ドル送金していただきたい。
▷ The seller must deliver the goods, hand over any documents relating to them and transfer the property in the goods, as required by the contract and this Convention. →売主は、契約及びこの条約に従い、物品を引き渡し、物品に関する書類を交付し、及び物品の所有権を移転しなければならない(ウィーン売買条約30条)。
▷ Copyrights may be transferred in whole or in part. →著作権は、その全部又は一部を譲渡することができる(著作権法61条1項)。
▷ He has applied for a transfer to the head office. →彼は本社への異動を志願した。

▷ She has transferred from the Tokyo branch to the London office.＝She has been transferred from... →彼女は東京支社からロンドン事務所に転任した。
