【参考】
▷ a person’s compliance with the terms of an offer made by another.
▷ 「申込み」に対して条件を変更したり追加すると、それは「承諾」とはならず、「反対申込み」となる。

【用例】
▷ A contract is concluded at the moment when an acceptance of an offer becomes effective in accordance with the provisions of this Convention. →契約は、申込みに対する承諾がこの条約に基づいて効力を生ずる時に成立する(ウィーン売買条約23条)。
▷ An acceptance may be withdrawn if the withdrawal reaches the offeror before or at the same time as the acceptance would have become effective. →承諾は、その取りやめの通知が当該承諾の効力の生ずる時以前に申込者に到達する場合には、取りやめることができる(ウィーン売買条約22条)。
